Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 July 2026
1. Who we are
Loreon (the "Service") is an AI-assisted fiction-writing studio available at loreon.ink and app.loreon.ink. The Service is operated by Synapti AS ("Synapti", "we"), a company registered in Norway under organisation number 934 968 514, with registered address Alundamveien 54D, 0957 Oslo, Norway. You can reach us at support@loreon.ink.
These Terms govern your use of the Service. By creating an account or using the Service, you accept them.
2. The Service
Loreon provides tools for planning, drafting, validating, and adapting long-form fiction, including AI agents that generate and review text at your direction: a structured story bible, outlining, drafting modes, manuscript validation, and adaptation documents. We continuously improve the Service, and individual features may evolve over time.
3. Your account
- Sign-in uses passkeys. You are responsible for the devices and authenticators that hold your passkeys and for activity that occurs under your account.
- Provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
- An account is personal to you. You may not share it or use multiple accounts to circumvent credit accounting.
4. Credits and payment
- Agent work in the Service is paid for with prepaid credits, purchased in packs. Purchases are processed by Paddle as merchant of record — Paddle's checkout terms and privacy policy apply to the payment transaction, and your receipt comes from Paddle.
- Credits are a prepaid means of paying for work performed by the Service. They are not money or electronic money, are not transferable between accounts, and have no cash value except as described in the Refund Policy.
- Purchased credits never expire.
- Free credits (welcome or promotional grants) have no cash value, are not refundable, and may carry conditions stated when granted.
- Every agent run shows an estimated credit cost before you start it, reserves at most that estimate, charges actual usage, and returns the remainder. Your balance can never go below zero.
- Pack prices may change. Price changes never affect credits you have already purchased. Applicable VAT or sales tax is calculated and added at checkout.
5. Refunds
A credit pack is refundable in full within 14 days of purchase if none of its credits have been spent. The details, including how the statutory right of withdrawal applies to digital services, are in the Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits your mandatory rights under Norwegian or other applicable consumer law.
6. Your content
- You retain all rights to the material you create in or upload to the Service — manuscripts, story bibles, outlines, and related work — including, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, output you direct the AI agents to produce.
- You grant Synapti a limited licence to host, process, and transmit your content solely as needed to operate the Service for you.
- We do not use your content to train AI models.
- You are responsible for the content you create with the Service and for how you use and publish it, including ensuring it does not infringe the rights of others.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for unlawful purposes or to create unlawful content;
- infringe the intellectual-property or other rights of third parties;
- probe, disrupt, or circumvent the Service's security, rate limits, or credit accounting;
- attempt to access other users' data or projects;
- resell the Service or systematically scrape it.
8. AI-generated content
Output produced by AI agents is generated by machine-learning models. It may be inaccurate, incomplete, or resemble other model output. Review agent output before relying on it or publishing it; you are responsible for the use you make of it.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and dependable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may suspend the Service temporarily for maintenance or security reasons, and we may modify or discontinue features, giving reasonable notice of material changes where practicable.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time; you can export your manuscripts beforehand. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these Terms, giving prior notice where appropriate. After account deletion, your content is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Synapti is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will give notice of material changes (by email or in the app) before they take effect. If you do not accept a material change, stop using the Service — and you may request a refund of your unspent purchased credits.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts with Oslo District Court as agreed venue, without prejudice to any mandatory venue or dispute-resolution rights you hold as a consumer. Consumers in Norway may also contact the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet).
